Mitchelton Winery Restaurant will be hosting a four course Gourmet Dinner. To enhance this gastronomic experience there will be nine matched wines showcasing previous trophy winners.

Chef Kent Geddes brings many years of experience throughout Australia and the UK to his culinary excellence.  

The 2008 Trophy Winning Wines will be announced and awarded throughout the course of the evening.

Master of Ceremonies: Mr Nick Stock   

Melbourne based author of the Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide, freelance wine-writer, award winning sommelier, show judge, wine educator, television and radio presenter, Nick was recently awarded World’s Best Drinks Journalist at the 2007 Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards.

Chairman of Judges: Mr Tim James

Mr Tim James will present an interesting overview of the 2008 Victorian Wines Show. This will include the 2008 vintage wines and those from older vintages

Evening Entertainment: Mr Graham Bishop, Pianist

Mr Graham Bishop, classically trained pianist, brings a wealth of experience and an accomplished contrast in styles.  With regular performance solos in various ensembles throughout Melbourne, and appearances at the Crown Casino, The Regent Hotel and the Melbourne Concert Hall Graham has also toured Australia with popular bands and performed internationally.

The 2008 judging of wine will culminate with this wonderful evening of fine wines and food.
